Cedric's Tavern is like a sophisticated pub "serving pub fare alongside robustly-flavored American and global cuisine". It is located on the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC and named after the family's dog, Cedric. Because I still crave them today and it has been over a year since we have been here, I have to highlight their pickle hor d'oeuvre and their juicy bison burger. Most restaurants serve fresh baked bread or rolls, which Cedric's does for their dinner menu; however, for lunch they serve a jar full of pickles and and pickled onions and I think our table had 3 jars total (with me eating one whole jar to myself). The bison burger served with cheddar cheese, thick cut bacon, house steak sauce, and BBQ fries was also very delicious. Little on the pricy side for pub food, but that's why I called it a sophisticated pub. Overall, very good food and a beautifully landscaped Village to enjoy, especially if you get an outdoor seat on their patio on a nice day!
