Kentucky Fried Chicken in Kentucky

Kentucky Fried Chicken in Kentucky, anyone?  Why, yes!  During our adventure of selling the Four Wheel Camper, we made sure to stop at Kentucky Fried Chicken just to eat it because after all we were in Kentucky.  We stayed at the Country Inn and Suites in Georgetown, KY where we were to meet the family buying the camper.  It was pouring that day, which was much more pleasant than the ice storm that was suppose to hit home. Luckily the hotel owner allowed us to use their carport to take off the camper and put it on the new family’s truck.  We stayed dry for the most part and it was the most level ground in the whole parking lot.  Trading out the trucks took quite a bit longer than expected and it was dark by the time we had finished.   So we walked over and had Fazoli’s Italian restaurant for dinner afterwards.

Next day, we had high hopes of seeing the Toyota factory, but turns out it wasn’t open on the weekend.  So after being bummed for a few minutes, we looked up things near by and chose to check out a park, the horse track, and a winery.  After the winery was when we headed to KFC to eat.  It was your typically KFC restaurant, but it also had a buffet that you could purchase and have unlimited rounds.  The only thing that I wish was that they offered their mac and cheese on the buffet.  After KFC, we went back to the room for Kaylee to nap and we played a game of Krazy Bee Rummy and relaxed.  This night was an early night so that we could hit the road back home before the roads were terrible because my weather was coming.  On the road home, it was so cold that our below freezing window washer fluid still froze and we had to make several stops at gas stations and on the side of the road just to clean the windshield to see.  We realized that if we tucked behind an 18-wheeler they splashed just enough mist to wet the windshield enough to use the wipers so we did this for a good amount of the way.
