VA Covered Bridges

So my husband and I decided that we wanted to do a Virginia Covered Bridges trip and see all the active covered bridges of Virginia.  It was an awesome experience.  It was interesting trying to find places to camp and stay the night, but we got to see some amazing views and loved seeing the history of the covered bridges.  If you ever make it out to Virginia and try this.  Here are some highlighted spots that we stopped at:  Peters Mill Run (cool ATV/offroading trail that as a small campground called Little Fort at the end), Meems Bottom Covered Bridge, Wolf Gap Recreation Area (cool place to camp and hike), Cass Railroad, Seneca State Forest, Bald Mountain, Humpback Covered Bridge, Sinking Creek Covered Bridge, Burkes Garden (aka God's Thumbprint has an awesome view and 7 mile trail in and out of the valley), Chantilly Farm (was a last resort site for a night but really cool because we basically had it to ourselves), Jacks Creek Covered Bridge, Peaks of Otter Winery (one of the best wineries I have been to on the East Coast, you will like practically every wine), North Creek Campground (if you travel past it a little ways there is a great hike to a waterfall), and lastly, Big Levels (offroad trail that is extremely tight and will cause pin stripes).
